Butler Ross are currently recruiting for multiple Category Manager's on behalf of a fantastic utilities organisation, based in Reading. These are great opportunities for individuals with solid procurement / category management experience, especially for anyone with prior exposure to any type of regulated environment - be that public, engineering, construction, etc.

These positions operate on a home-working weighted hybrid-model, requiring only 2-days a week in office, and are offering salaries of up to £58,000 - dependent on experience. There are also excellent additional benefits, including a strong pension and bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating and delivering end-to-end strategic category management
  • Leading on and evaluating tenders and proposals
  • Managing a portfolio of suppliers throughout the contract life-cycle

Ideal Experience:

  • Strong hands-on sourcing experience
  • End-to-end strategic category management (advantageous)
  • Prior exposure to a regulated environment
  • Excellent stakeholder / supplier management capabilities

Preferred:

  • Experience with either of the below would be highly advantageous:
  • Corporate indirects (HR, Marketing, IT, etc.)
  • Operations / Engineering Operations Categories (General Indirects, Health & Safety, PPE, FM/maintenance etc.)
