In March 2020, the government announced spending of £1bn to remove and replace unsafe non-ACM cladding systems on high-rise residential buildings in England. The GLA is delivering this programme in London.
Care and Support Specialised Housing Programme (CASSH) 2023-25
Grant theme: supported and specialist housing
This £100m+ programme provides older and disabled Londoners with well-designed, accessible homes. Funding is available for new-build and remodelling existing schemes.
The Fund makes £38 million available – a combination of revenue and capital funding to support building new homes that are genuinely affordable for local people. This will include a revolving loan fund of up to £10m, which will help make the sector more sustainable.
Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Homes Programme
Grant theme: supported and specialist housing
DASAHP has been developed to bring together capital and revenue funding to increase safe accommodation provision for domestic abuse survivors and their children in London. Capital funding of up to £8.5m from the Affordable Homes Programme (AHP) 2021-26 has been paired with up to £1.1m revenue funding from the Part 4 duty under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
Grenfell Assisted Home Ownership Scheme (GAHOS)

The Mayor of London is delivering the Grenfell Assisted Shared Ownership Scheme (GAHOS), which provides funding of £40m to enable eligible households to purchase a stake in their current social rented home on similar terms to if they had purchased their Grenfell home through the statutory Right to Buy scheme.
Home for Londoners: Affordable Homes Programme 2016-2023

The Mayor of London has secured more than £4.8bn from Government to help start building at least 116,000 affordable homes by March 2023.
Home for Londoners: Affordable Homes Programme 2021-2026

The Mayor of London has secured £4bn from Government to deliver affordable homes in London under the new Homes for Londoners: Affordable Homes Programme 2021-2026.
The Mayor of London has agreed plans worth more than £1 billion with 27 London boroughs to start building 11,000 new council homes at social rent levels by 2022.
Through the Homes for Londoners Land Fund, the GLA works with private developers, registered providers, local authorities, and other public-sector bodies to find ways to unlock and increase housing delivery in the capital by providing loan and/or grant funding.
