Curriculum Manager – Hair & Beauty, Hospitality, Sport and Public Services

Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working in partnership with a dynamic and forward-thinking FE College to recruit a Curriculum Manager for Hair & Beauty, Hospitality, Sport and Public Services.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will work closely with the Head of School to shape the strategic direction of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and training that aligns with the college’s core values. You will lead a team of professionals and oversee a range of learning facilities, including a commercial salon and restaurant, to enhance the practical learning experience of students.
Main Responsibilities of the Curriculum Manager – Hair & Beauty, Hospitality, Sport and Public Services:
* Lead on the operational management across Hair & Beauty, Hospitality, Sport and Public Services.
* Ensure first-class teaching, learning, assessment, and student support, implementing measures to drive continuous improvement.
* Manage and develop the curriculum, ensuring it meets student aspirations, college targets, and industry standards.
* Provide leadership and direction to staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Act as the Lead Internal Verifier, ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements.
* Oversee the safe and effective operation of the college salon and restaurant.
* Lead on learner recruitment, progression, and achievement strategies.
* Support staff through appraisals, CPD, and performance management.
* Monitor and drive improvement using quality assurance processes such as self-assessment and internal reviews.
* Deputise for the Head of School as required.
* Undertake a teaching commitment of 12 hours per week.
The Successful Curriculum Manager – Hair & Beauty, Hospitality, Sport and Public Services will have:
* A degree or relevant professional qualification in a related subject area.
* A recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience and specialist knowledge in Hair & Beauty, Hospitality, Sport or Public Services.
* Proven evidence of improving the quality of provision in education.
* Experience in leading and managing teams within an education and training environment.
* Ability to develop and maintain industry and employer links.
* Understanding of key issues in post-16 education.
* Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
* Commitment to Equality, Diversity, Safeguarding, and Prevent.
