Head of Partnerships Servicing
Who we are: Everton Football Club is one of world sport’s most respected and revered names – a by-word for innovation, professionalism and community.
During the course of a glittering history spanning three centuries, the Club has been shaped and guided by its aspirational motto Nil Satis Nisi Optimum – nothing but the best is good enough.
One of only three clubs to have been a founder member of both the Football League and Premier League, Everton has played more games in English football’s top flight than any other club.
While rightly proud of our rich past, and Goodison Park, our home of more than 130 years, we are now setting our sights on an exciting future at a state-of-the-art new stadium opening in summer 2025.
In doing so, we remain committed to developing and supporting teams across our Men’s, Women’s and Academy set-ups that inspire and continue to compete at the highest level of the game.
About the opportunity: At Everton Football Club, we are currently embarking on one of the most significant and exciting chapters in our history.
As we prepare for the imminent move from Goodison Park, our home of 133 years, to a world-class new stadium on the banks of the iconic River Mersey, we are searching for a Head of Partnership Servicing to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will help us as we endeavour to capitalise on the new revenue growth opportunities a 53,000-capacity sports and entertainment destination provides.
As Head of Partnership Servicing, you will be responsible for leading the Partnership Management and Partnership Operations department to deliver exceptional service to our existing and future club partners, leading on the implementation of all incoming Club partners, inclusive of several high-profile new stadium partners that will require significant integration into the Club ecosystem and managing stakeholders across the Club in delivering against expectations.
You will be excellent at building and maintaining senior external relationships built on trust, credibility and integrity. Internally, you will be able to drive a solutions mindset to ensure Everton’s commercial partners have world-class and industry-leading experience. Critically you will be results-orientated, ensuring Everton delivers innovative marketing solutions for existing and future brand partners to support our overall growth aspirations.
The role will require strategic thinking and planning – as you will be overseeing the team in all upselling, retention, and renewal strategies as well as ensuring that our current and potential partners experience the highest levels of engagement at all touchpoints.
You will be expected to take on responsibilities in closing and contracting partnership agreements, in support of your peers and the Director of Partnerships. Your team will be responsible for seamlessly transitioning new partners into the Everton family.
Not only will you get to be a part of a very special moment in the history of a storied sports organisation, but you will play a lead role in integrating partners into Everton, ensuring delivery matches internal and, more importantly, external expectations.
Who we’re looking for: We are looking for a proven commercial partnership professional, who is hardworking, a strong communicator, and solutions-focused. You will have exceptional leadership skills with an ability to influence positive action and results both internally and externally.
Experience of working within a high-performance commercial environment that successfully sources and secures high-value commercial partnerships is essential.
You’ll have proven experience of successfully leading a team to deliver industry-leading partnerships, informed by data, insight and intelligence. You will be able to make Everton Football Club stand out in an increasingly competitive sports sponsorship market.
If you are passionate about being a part of something transformative and have an ambitious spirit suited to operating in a fast-paced environment, then we would love to hear from you!
This position is a permanent opportunity, working 35 hours per week with the closing date for this role being Tuesday 18th March 2025.
The location for this role is the Club’s iconic headquarters in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, with the opportunity to work flexibly with our Hybrid working approach.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a substantial number of applications.
