Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance will be responsible for leading the finance function, managing a finance team, overseeing monthly and yearly accounts preparation, and managing all banking relationships. If you are a Qualified Accountant with 5+ years’ experience of leading a finance team, ideally within an SME environment, this could be the ideal role.

This role is initially on a 6-month contract basis, however, the organisation will need someone on a long-term basis, and this has the opportunity to become permanent.

About you

• Qualified Accountant with 5+ years in a senior leadership role
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal & external stakeholders
• Ability to influence and negotiate with the senior management team
• A ‘hands-on’ manager, with the ability to be involved in daily management details
• Available at short notice

What you’ll do

• Daily oversight of the finance team, ensuring all deliverables are met in line with agreed timescales
• Ownership of the month-end reporting process
• Preparation of financial models for rolling budgets and cashflow forecasts
• Preparing board reports and reporting to the senior management team
• Managing relationships with banks and investors
• Overall ownership of business financials
