NW Recruitment are in search of experienced and reliable FLT Drivers to work for our well known and established client based in Burnley. The Warehouse Operative is responsible for performing an array of duties such as unloading and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Please note, this role can be physically demanding. Key Responsibilities: Receiving and Processing: * Receive, unload, and check incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness. * Inspect and verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping documents. * Label and appropriately store received items in designated warehouse locations. Order Picking and Packing: * Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately and efficiently according to company procedures. * Utilize various tools such as hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks to move and transport materials within the warehouse. * Ensure that all orders are packed securely to prevent damage during transit. Inventory Management: * Maintain organized and clean warehouse space. * Conduct regular physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure accuracy. * Update inventory records and system databases with stock movements. Shipping and Dispatch: * Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists and shipping labels. * Coordinate with carriers for efficient and timely shipment of orders. * Load outgoing shipments onto trucks and ensure proper documentation. Quality Control: * Inspect products for defects and damages before shipping. * Report and document any discrepancies or issues with received or shipped items. Safety and Compliance: * Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. * Comply with company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations. Qualifications: * FLT Counterbalance Licence * Reach Truck Licence * PPT Licence advantageous although full training will be given Physical Requirements: The Warehouse Person will be required to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment. The job may involve exposure to various environmental conditions such as noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
