A Japanese manufacturer currently recruiting a Country Manager in the UK.

In this role, you will be responsible for market research, business development, legal framework compliance, financing, location selection, human resources management, operational strategy, and compliance and risk management.

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week

SALARY: up to £65k + OTE bonus (depending on experience)

START: ASAP

LOCATION: starting 1 year in Germany and then hybrid in the UK

Country Manager Main Responsibilities:

  • Support for existing customers
  • Acquisition, negotiation, and conclusion of orders of customers
  • Market research
  • Customer visits followed by reporting to supervisor
  • Maintenance of customer master data
  • Central contact for customers for technical and commercial questions, and also claims
  • Technical clarification and support for customers together with engineering
  • Project support from inquiry to production on the instructions of the supervisor
  • Professional product presentation, e.g. with PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel on business (Europe and worldwide), participation in national/international trade fairs
  • RFQ summary, proposals for quotations, etc. to supervisors
  • Planning and ensuring sales and target achievement and incoming orders as well as the evaluation of important market and customer information including its implementation
  • Reporting, tracking (quotes, test results, approvals, quality), annual price negotiation with customers, and monthly sales analysis report
  • Support and preparation of analyses
  • The processing of enquiries and orders using the available systems, processing by means of the ERP system and the corresponding communication to the customer and/or interested party
  • Participation in intermediate and reporting date inventories
  • Active support in finance management

Country Manager Ideal Candidate:

  • Recent 5+ years’ B2B parts sales experience in the UK in the automotive industry is essential
  • Already residing in the UK
  • Business level fluency in English
  • Good command of English in speaking and writing is required
  • Able to take business trip whenever necessary
  • Communicative and strong social skills
  • Accurate and able to take initiative
  • Loyalty, reliability, commitment, and flexibility
