The Opportunity

As the Lead, Global Market Access Excellence, you will be responsible for ensuring that Market Access teams throughout the organization consistently apply and adhere to best practice value methodologies when working across the portfolio.

You will embed industry-leading market access capabilities across teams working within the market access operating model including payer-facing field teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify & address market access capability gaps within the organization.
  • Identify external emerging market access practices & trends and roll them out within Astellas in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for ensuring results, driving change, and fostering continual organizational improvement in our market access capability.
  • Enhance organizational-wide value negotiation capability through the development and execution of the Astellas Value Negotiation Academy training programs.
  • Maintain a shared understanding of relevant healthcare systems, considering Astellas pipeline with structured stakeholder mapping and an in-depth understanding of their needs.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Global experience in Market Access in the pharmaceutical industry (pharma company or consultancy).
  • English professional level in speaking and writing.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • Direct HTA/HE experience and understanding.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Preferably with a post-graduate qualification such as MBA and/or MSc or equivalent.

Additional Information

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • Location: This position is based in the United Kingdom.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per quarter in our Addlestone office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
