Due to continued growth, a dynamic and highly successful business working across the civil engineering sector has a unique opportunity for a Head of Operational Delivery to join their team in London. The Head of Operational Delivery will be responsible for driving operational excellence by leading initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance across the business.
The role will involve working closely with both internal stakeholders as well as building excellent relationships with external clients.
The Role
- Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a varied role responsibilities will include:
- Strategic planning and budget management to maximise efficiencies and optimise growth targets
- Team leadership and development including overseeing recruitment and performance reviews
- Identify and implement efficient workflows to streamline operations, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement
- Client & stakeholder engagement, through senior-level networking, attending events and client meetings
- Business development, lead generation, client meetings and contract negotiations
- Reporting on budget forecasts and actual revenue to the directors.
Experience Required
The Head of Operational Delivery role requires a blend of skills and attributes to ensure a great fit for this vacancy. Suitable candidates will be educated to HNC/BSc; however, this is not essential if compensated by substantial operational experience. Must be able to demonstrate strong operational knowledge and a proven track record in managing diverse teams and processes. The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to lead and motivate teams effectively, manage performance, and resolve challenges with skill and efficiency. The candidate should also possess proven experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
