Your new company

We are partnered with an NHS body that provides healthcare services across Hampshire. They are currently undergoing large-scale transformation and looking to expand their Estates and Maintenance team.

Your new role

As a Mechanical multi-trades operative, you will be carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance of plant and equipment in support of Maintenance and Capital Projects. Work will include carrying out reactive repairs to plumbing, heating and ventilation systems:

  1. General fault finding and rectification following reported breakdowns.
  2. The repair, replacement, or installation of general plumbing fixtures such as taps, WC’s, basins, supply services and waste pipework, valves, and associated fittings.
  3. Drainage
  4. Commercial Heating Systems
  5. Commercial Boilers
  6. Vented and unvented hot and cold water and heating systems
  7. AHU’s (Air Handling Units)
  8. Fan motors (supply and extract)
  9. Smoke / Fire Dampers
  10. Booster Pumps
  11. Medical Gasses

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Recognised and registered apprenticeship, or an NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing, Plumbing and Heating, Ventilation or a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • A sound understanding of the basic principles of water, heating and ventilation systems.
  • Able to fault-find, diagnose and rectify plumbing / mechanical faults.
  • Driving License
