Design and documentation of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Printed Board Assemblies (PBAs) used in ASN’s Power Feeding Equipment (PFE).

The PFE provides the current to power undersea cable systems, generating a High Voltage output from a low to medium voltage DC supply, with a long system life and high reliability.

Role and Responsibilities:

All aspects related to specification, design and documentation of PCBs and PBAs:

1. Create and maintain a parts library: CR/CR database.
2. Create component shapes, symbols etc as requested by hardware design engineers.
3. Schematic capture and PCB layout, liaising with hardware design engineers.
4. DFx analysis.
5. Create layout Design Rules for automatic checking.
6. Generate and maintain all PCB and PBA manufacturing data, BoMs and drawings.
7. Respond to PCB fab DFM analysis/manufacturing queries.
8. Export of D models to MCAD (Creo).

Required Expertise (Essential for the Role):

1. PCB CAD: Zuken CR (or CR) SD, BD and Components Manager (librarian)
2. Familiarity with relevant IPC standards
3. In-depth understanding of PCB fabrication and PBA manufacturing and processes, including stack-up limitations/best practices, PCB materials, panelization etc.

Additional Expertise (Advantageous):

1. Zuken Lightning power analysis
2. Experience designing boards for high voltage and/or high current applications
