We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a high-volume manufacturing business in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Hours Of Work
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to work a 3-shift pattern consisting of:

  • Mornings – 6am to 2pm,
  • Afternoons – 2pm to 10pm
  • Nights – 10pm to 6am

Salary: Up to £49,000 dependent on experience. Plus, paid overtime, and additional company benefits.

This permanent position will suit an experienced Electrical Engineer who is looking to work in a single skill environment – there is an opportunity to be multiskilled but this business has an electrical engineering department that leads on all electrical engineering, reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, installations, and project work.

Overview Of Daily Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance to machinery and plant.
  • Support the business culture of “safety First” by maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Ensure that adherence of regulations around electrical applications is maintained.
  • Ensure all equipment (especially those which are PLC controlled) is maintained in an excellent state.
  • Fault finding, predominately on Allen-Bradley and Omron PLC controlled machinery.
  • Conduct fault finding using control systems, invertor drives and PLCs.
  • Active participation in all continuous improvement projects.
  • Support in the training of other engineers.

Ideal Experience Required

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering OR time served Electrical Engineer apprenticeship.
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • Experience of working within an FMCG production environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and specifications.
