X-Ray Service Engineer – Hertfordshire

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled X-Ray Service Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will lead the engineering support activities for the X-ray service teams globally, while providing valuable insights to the NXT design teams. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our X-ray service department.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the key contact for service engineering teams when they encounter challenging issues on customer systems that they cannot resolve.
  • Lead and prioritize the follow-up/management of open issues and queries to high standards.
  • Collaborate with key engineers, pulling in further experts as required.
  • Conduct on-site customer visits to implement fixes.
  • Occasionally provide training to Service Engineers.

Required:

  • Experience with advanced electro-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and keen to make a difference.
  • Experience in creating and delivering presentations.
  • Willingness to travel globally.
  • Knowledge of X-ray/vacuum systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory aspects.
  • Able to read electrical and electronics schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Appreciation of software, firmware, and algorithms.
