We are seeking a Product Designer who will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our product. As a Product Designer, you will collaborate closely with our Product Manager and engineering team to create intuitive, visually appealing designs that meet both user and business needs. You will be a core member of an agile product delivery quad.

This position requires a deep understanding of the design process from research and ideation to rapid prototyping and iteration. We are looking for someone who can balance data-driven insights with strong design principles, and who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days a week in the Old Street office.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with Product Management to Design User-Centered Solutions
    • Translate user needs and business objectives into intuitive digital experiences.
    • Work with engineering to ensure designs align with product goals.
  2. Conduct User Research & Testing
    • Plan and execute user interviews, usability tests, and other research activities.
    • Join customer sessions.
    • Incorporate feedback and data to validate assumptions and refine product features.
  3. Iterate Rapidly in a Cross-Functional Environment
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather feedback, iterate on designs, and deliver improvements in short cycles.
    • Participate in agile processes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of design assets.
  4. Balance UX & Visual Design
    • Combine a strong understanding of user experience principles with an eye for clean, modern interfaces.
    • Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and design systems that elevate the overall product experience.
  5. Provide Design Specifications & Assets
    • Prepare detailed design documentation, interactive prototypes, and style guides for engineering handoff.
    • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of the final design.
  6. Maintain & Evolve Our Design System
    • Contribute to a cohesive library of design components, patterns, and guidelines.
    • Advocate for consistency, accessibility, and scalability across the product suite.
  7. Measure, Learn & Optimize
    • Use both qualitative feedback and quantitative metrics to evaluate design performance and inform iterations.
    • Continuously refine user flows and interface elements to increase satisfaction and engagement.

About You

  1. Experience: 5+ years in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field.
  2. Portfolio: Demonstrable track record of successful user-centric product solutions, including examples of both the design process and final outcomes. Experience of working on a B2B product would be preferred but not required.
  3. Tools: Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  4. Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills and experience partnering with cross-functional, agile delivery teams.
  5. User Research: Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  6. Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in an iterative environment, iterating quickly on feedback and data.
  7. Technical Knowledge (Bonus): Understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate better collaboration with engineers.
