In this role, you will gain experience across various accounting functions and a diverse client base in sectors such as manufacturing, wholesale, and retail.
Trainees will work alongside a mentor who will be responsible for their on-the-job training ensuring a wide variety of work is offered.
Duties will include:

Assist in preparing financial statements, forecasts, detailed financial reports and accounts prep;

Bookkeeping and drafting of VAT returns
-
Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulations;

Potential to be involved in transactional work i.e M&A Complex Tax advice

Communicating with clients via the telephone, email and face to face on a regular basis

Ad hoc project work and supporting other areas of the business
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, expecting to achieve at least a 2.1 Degree. They should be highly motivated, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent communication skills.

3 A Levels (or equivalent)

On track to achieve, or have obtained, a 2:1 degree
-
Grade 4 – 9 (c or above) in GCSE English, Maths and ICT

Proficient IT Skills and working knowledge of MS Excel

Ability to build relationships with clients

Ability to analyse and interupt data

Excellent personal and communication skills
