Main duties of the job:

As an autonomous practitioner, the Clinical Safety Lead will offer advanced clinical expertise, delivering critical advice, coaching, and constructive feedback to empower clinical teams. They will support and lead on elements of the Trust’s clinical safety and reducing restrictive practices programs, coordinating best practices. Their influence will extend to shaping and contributing to the RRP educational program and clinical practice guidelines, ensuring that our staff are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills.

The role will be responsible for the RESPECT team and will help the team to deliver the training to staff in the organization across disciplines, fully utilizing their skills and experience to support the objectives of the Trust by delivering coaching, training, support, and advice to clinical teams.

The post holder is responsible for devising, synthesizing, creating, and updating regular restrictive practice data reports from a number of resource platforms and disseminating this information across the Trust and to external organizations including NHS Digital, CQC, Special Commissioners, Respect, and BILD.

In addition to their clinical leadership, the Clinical Safety Lead will drive research initiatives that enhance clinical practices across the Trust. They will inspire a culture of continuous improvement and play a vital role in shaping the future of patient care.
