Job Description

Zen Educate are looking for a Assistant Year Leader for a School Based in the Sheffield area.\\n\\nPurpose of the post:\\n To be accountable for the effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of\\nbehaviour and pastoral intervention strategies aimed at improving students’\\nengagement in learning as directed by the year leader\\n To support the Year Leader in promoting and monitoring the spiritual, moral,\\ncultural, mental/ psychological and personal development of students within the\\nyear group.\\n To carry out key tasks as directed by the Year leader to support inclusion and\\nbehaviour strategies.\\n To work with the Designated Teacher for Looked After Children and the SENDCo\\nto monitor and support progress\\n To co-ordinate and support LAC\\n To be part of the team working with students at risk of CSE\\n To co-ordinate and support children who are young carers\\n To work closely with the school counsellors and arrange appointments for\\nstudents they see on a weekly basis\\n To support safeguarding for all students as deputy safeguard lead.\\nKey Tasks to Achieve Outcomes:\\n To be a visible presence across the school to monitor and support a positive\\nclimate of behaviour and attitudes across the year group.\\n To contribute to and uphold the Catholic ethos and aims of the school\\n To complete the tasks of a deputy safeguarding lead by responding appropriately\\nto safeguarding disclosures.\\n To complete child protection referrals, document all concerns and pass minutes\\nto all relevant staff including emergency situations during the school day\\n To attend meetings with external agencies and contribute to reports as required\\n To liaise with outside agencies regarding potential or actual instances of CSE\\n To liaise with outside agencies and to have contact with young people's families\\nor those with parental responsibilities.\\n Respond to and take steps to resolve student related issues involving critical\\nincidents and unsatisfactory learning behaviour
