DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily transportation and logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- To manage the shipments from warehouse to end-use, planning and scheduling routes as required.
- Track and trace orders using functional systems such as an In-house tracking software.
- Monitor and report on transportation costs, ensuring cost-effective shipping methods are a priority consideration.
- Monitor, oversee and report maintenance and repair schedules for all vehicles and relatable equipment.
- Keep organised records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders, ensuring shipping documents are properly filed and logged.
- Ensure all safety records, compliance and regulations are up-to-date and in line with company policies and legislation, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices.
