Job Title: Contracts Manager (New Build & Refurbishment Projects)

If you’re a motivated professional with a proven track record in managing complex projects from inception to completion, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage multiple new build and refurbishment projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Prepare and review contract documentation, including subcontracts, tender documents, and project proposals.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Resolve any contractual disputes or issues that arise, in collaboration with senior management.
- Prepare regular progress reports and attend client meetings to provide updates on project status.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the construction industry, with a focus on new build and refurbishment projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, processes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A solid understanding of budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management or related field (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Experience with NEC3, JCT, or similar contract types.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental regulations in construction.
- Health and safety certification (e.g., SMSTS).
