Finance Manager | Fast Growth Retail and Ecommerce Brand | Zone 1 / Hybrid Harmonic is proud to be working on an exclusive basis with one of the UKs most exciting retail and ecommerce brands on the hire of a Finance Manager to join the team. Our client’s business is incredibly creative, innovative and unique which has resonated well with consumers. As a result, they have been successfully growing across the UK. They currently have 20 retail stores which are preforming very well with plans underway to open another 5 sites across the next 6 months which will see their turnover double from c.£9 million to c.£15 million. As well as an established high street presence they have been growing the wholesale and ecommerce part of their business and now have their products stocked across major luxury retailers like Harrods and Selfridges and well as a bespoke website to sell their products through. Reporting into the CFO this role will have ownership over the monthly reporting for the business, supported by two transactional finance hires (Senior Finance Assistant / Finance Assistant) as well as support with key commercial and strategic projects. The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a fast-paced environment where there are tasks and projects outside of day-to-day accounting. For example, one of the projects in finance over the next 12 months will be working alongside the CFO on a NetSuite implementation project. This role would have direct progression to a Finance Manager position. Our clients are based in Zone 1, a shortlist walk from a Piccadilly Line station, and they have a hybrid working policy. We are looking for candidates who are open to 3 days in the office. Their offices are architecturally designed and a great hub for their creative and inclusive culture. The Role: Ownership of the monthly reporting and monthly management account packs for the various sites / stores KPI reporting and providing analysis for the different sites / stores as well as the ecommerce channels Produce the company Board Pack reports, which will not only include robust reports but also eloquent commentary. Support the external contractors and CFO with the implementation of NetSuite Balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany reconciliation and group recharges. Management of stock reconciliation process Management and reconciliation of finance systems with operations systems Assist with production of forecasts for the Group. Assist with year-end preparation. Production of quarterly VAT return for review Play a hands-on role in all aspects of the financial management and operation of the business. Implementation of improvement in efficiency and best practice for the business What our client would like to see: Qualified or studying ACA / ACCA / CIMA or ICAS Experience with Retail / Ecommerce / Multisite / Hospitality / Product Confident written and verbal communication skills Experience in team management Enjoyment of projects outside of business-as-usual accounting tasks Ability to multi task and prioritise What we would like to see: Experience with consolidations would be beneficial.
