Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Design and Implementation:
· Develop and implement Wintel architecture strategies and frameworks that meet business needs and compliance requirements.
· Designs scalable, secure, and high-performance Windows-based solutions, including Active Directory, Exchange, and virtualization platforms.
· Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers and associated infrastructure.
System Management and Optimization:
· Monitor and manage the performance, reliability, and availability of the Wintel environment.
· Implement optimization strategies to improve system performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
· Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure system integrity and compliance.
Security and Compliance:
· Develop and enforce security policies and practices to safeguard the Wintel infrastructure.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
· Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities and manage security incidents.
Project Management:
· Lead Wintel-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
· Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
· Prepare project documentation, including status reports and post-implementation reviews.
Innovation and Strategy:
· Stay updated with the latest Windows and Intel technologies, trends, and best practices.
· Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance the Wintel infrastructure and support organizational growth.
· Develop and maintain long-term infrastructure strategies and roadmaps.
Support and Troubleshooting:
· Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex Wintel issues.
· Mentor and guide system administrators and support staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and diagrams.
Additional Requirements:
– Wintel Architect Service – Work with client Architects to deliver Wintel designs for Projects.
– Manage escalations or guidance on extremely complex issues.
– Ensure timely delivery of tasks to ensure the programme delivers against its commitments to key internal and external stakeholder groups.
