Spotlight Sports Group is a global media and technology company specialising in content and data within sports betting, horse racing and fantasy sports. We partner with leading operators across the betting industry to produce and build multilingual, best-in-class digital products and content to engage and educate customers. The Subscriptions Manager role is responsible for the creation and implementation of a long term strategy to drive subscriptions growth.
Key Accountabilities:
- Create and implement a business wide long term digital subscription strategy. This strategy will encompass packages, pricing, paywalls, resources required and optimal structure and method to bring this strategy to life.
- Collaborate closely with key teams to drive growth and achieve results:
- Partner with the CRM team to develop and implement a customer-centric, data-driven CRM strategy aimed at acquisition, retention, and reactivation.
- Work alongside the marketing team to establish a clear brand proposition and a comprehensive marketing strategy for Members\’ Club.
- Set the agenda for data analysis teams to generate insights that will guide key decisions.
- Team up with product and delivery teams to brainstorm, evaluate, and prioritise the product delivery roadmap.
- Collaborate with the research team to gain deeper insights into subscriber motivations and satisfaction.
- Work with the finance team on budgeting, pricing, and other financial modelling.
- Join forces with the content team to help optimise the creations and curation of content that drives further subscription growth.
- Utilise A/B testing and multivariate testing methodologies to identify and implement improvements for subscription upsell.
- Responsible for assessing and managing key 3rd party relationships, for example our subscriptions backend provider.
- Keep up to date with subscription trends and strategies and attend publisher networking events.
The main targets will be around the conversion of customers to subscriptions, subscriber satisfaction and retention, and churned subscriber reactivation.
Desired experience, skills and qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have successfully demonstrated the ability to generate, and grow, subscriptions revenues for a digital subscription service.
- Extensive experience of working within a digital environment, preferably within the publishing sector.
- The role requires a self-starter with the ability to work effectively across a wide number of projects, and also influence key stakeholders within the business.
- A strong analytical mindset is imperative and the successful candidate should have extensive experience in creating and executing new strategies.
- Ability to confidently communicate, and create relationships, at all levels (internally and externally).
