Job Title: Support Worker – Supported Living Services Location: Accrington, Lancashire Salary: £27,730 – £28,000 per annum (inclusive of 2 sleeps ins paid at £55) Shift pattern: 09:00-17:00 (early shifts) 17:00 – 23:00 (late shift) 23:00-09:00 (sleep shift) The role: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker to join a fantastic, supported living service for adults with mild forms of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. You will enrich people’s lives with new experiences like fun days out, football, music and more. You will be working for an incredible organisation who have been established for over 30 years and who empower and enable people across communities to live fulfilling lives. Your key responsibilities as Support Worker: As the Support Worker you will support the team leader in in ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered. You will regularly complete risk assessments, keep records up to date with. You will be providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care, Provide emotional support for an individual and their families. In addition, Supporting and helping with health care needs, including routine checks or administrating medication. You will teach life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills. The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable and dynamic individual who can use their previous experience and understanding of support adults with additional needs to thrive and You will have the ability to work on your own initiative. Essential requirements for the role: Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and additional needs and/or experience in mental health or youth work is desirable but not essential. A Level 3 diploma in Health and Social care or equivalent is desirable but not essential Flexibility to work evenings and alternate weekends is essential
