Job Description:

Senior Corporate Solicitor

This Senior Corporate Solicitor role comes with excellent prospects. If you are a senior corporate lawyer that is looking for a route to progress, including partnership, then this might be the role for you.

This firm is well-known for its exceptional quality of work and client base, which includes UHNW individuals and household names, including leading charities, football clubs, media companies, and large digital businesses.

You will find that the firm houses some of the brightest legal minds in the country, with a large proportion of the firm’s partners ranked in the legal 500.

Despite being ranked in the Top 100, they have a culture that you would associate with a smaller practice. The firm has a stand-out staff retention rate, in part due to the high level of training, development, and career progression on offer. Many of the firm’s Partners are home-grown, and it is through their commitment to development that they have gone from strength to strength over the years.

You will find a vibrant leadership team and an open-door culture where it is commonplace to find partners sitting next to trainees and NQs. We typically find that lawyers who work at this practice have significantly more experience compared to a similar level of PQE at other firms.

The firm has an unusually broad-based practice spanning commercial and private clients, civil and criminal, contentious, and advisory work.

You will find that the firm often acts on the other side of some of London’s largest and most well-respected law firms . The work that the firm undertakes is often very complex and cross-jurisdictional in nature.

The Role

The firm is seeking to hire a Senior Corporate Solicitor to join their West End, London office.

The Corporate department deals with an interesting mix of work across a broad client base that spans many industry sectors. The sheer breadth of variety makes for a very exciting role. You will work with household names, but also smaller cutting-edge businesses. The firm has a client base of ultra-high-net-worth clients, and matters will often have a multi-jurisdictional element to them.

The department is ranked highly in the legal 500 and has many partners that are well-ranked.

You will deal with a caseload that includes M&A, joint ventures, commercial contracts, fundraising, investment, shareholder agreements, and licensing agreements.

Progression and career development are in this firm’s DNA. You will have an abundance of opportunities, which for the right candidate could include a track to partnership.
