We are recruiting for a Workday Finance Implementation Specialist to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract.

Hybrid – 2/3 days a week onsite
Responsibilities
- Lead workshops and design review sessions with the Finance team users and process owners from a business requirement and working with the implementation third party provider perspective and translating those sessions into a set of cohesive requirements.
- Work with the Workday implementation third party to validate configuration and to test and triage defects as and when they arise.
- Lead and manage Workday upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and seamless transitions.
- Coordinate with other Product Owners, including those for CRM and PAS, to ensure a cohesive strategy across our core platforms.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure the timely and successful delivery of features, integrations, and enhancements.
- Oversee the integration of Workday with other enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency and integrity across platforms.
- Efficiently manage cases, requests, and stories using Agile tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
- Conduct thorough testing of Workday configurations and customisations to ensure they meet business requirements and function correctly.
- Maintain a well-defined and prioritised product backlog, incorporating both technical and business requirements, driven by business value, user feedback, and strategic goals.
Experience
- At least five years’ experience with Workday Finance configuration (certification is an advantage) in pre-launch, post-launch and BAU setting(s).
- Implementation over multiple projects.
- Broad end-to-end understanding of the activities of a global Finance team and its functionalities.
- Experience in the matters arising (and problems to be solved) with third party integrations, such as treasury, banking, expenses, revenue tracking and booking systems.
- Strong knowledge and experience in financial processes, coupled with an understanding of financial systems best practice with the ability to champion initiatives and solutions to various stakeholders across the enterprise.
- Accounting background/degree ideal, not essential.
