Description
As a Senior People Partner, you’ll be a key member of our team in helping embed the partnering philosophy in our business. In this advisory role, you will work alongside our leadership and management on a wide range of people and talent activities.
The focus of your role will be to deeply understand the functional area and act as people expert designing and delivering solutions that advance Progeny’s people and culture agenda.
This is a great opportunity for an established Senior People Partner who is seeking a role that offers variety, impact, and the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary People Team. We would be particularly keen to hear from people with a background in Financial Services (we don’t usually ask for this, it’s a genuine value add to our team) and a keen interest in talent attraction and selection, managing change (we are acquisitive), reward and culture.
We are a busy team with several exciting projects on the go. Our team works on everything from pay and reward, talent management, and employee experience to resourcing and people analytics so you will gain exposure to several people activities to support your development as an HR professional.
This role can be based from our Leeds, Worthing, or Nottingham office.
Key Responsibilities
This is a true partnering role with key responsibilities in the following areas.
Business partnering
- Collaborate with managers and leaders to inform the people strategy and develop functional people plans aligned to the overall people strategy.
- Work with key function stakeholders to discuss people challenges and solutions (Talent attraction, Talent Mobility, Succession, eNPS, Performance, Culture).
- Use evidence and data to identify people priorities with the business functions and address future workforce needs (e.g. people dashboards by function).
- Provide guidance on people practices such as restructuring, succession planning, pay progression and acquisition and integrations work.
- Use your expertise to develop solutions to help the business area to deliver its strategy.
Communications and stakeholder management
- Attend the appropriate management meetings by functional area.
- Maintain regular check-ins with the functional leads to ensure people plans are in place, are progressing and well supported.
- Hold regular people team functional team meetings to ensure good communication with all people team SME’s/stakeholders.
- Act as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are implementing new people approaches.
- Coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency.
Projects and team support
- Part of the senior team within the people team.
- Engage with people team SME’s and lead on functional projects spanning Talent Partners, L&D Partners and People Operations.
- Support the development of the wider people team.
- Lead on strategic projects to ensure that the design of the plan is developed to the point that other Senior People Partners can implement for their business areas for example EDI, Performance, Succession, Reward, People Proposition etc.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- CIPD qualification (Level 7) or equivalent experience gained in an HR role.
- Demonstrable HR partnering experience (preferably 5 years+).
- Financial Services or similar regulated background essential.
- Experienced in managing complex people issues (restructuring, M&A, TUPE and consultations).
- International (EMEA) experience desirable but not essential.
- Tech savvy with advanced word and excel skills.
- A collaborative team player committed to achieving collective success.
- Analytical, highly organised, detail oriented, and results driven.
- Resilience and diplomacy, especially in managing challenging people issues.
