Junior Execution Trader

Social network you want to login/join with:

1. To minimise transaction costs and use trading metrics to improve execution performance
2. Monitor market liquidity, positions, rolls and exposures
3. Ad-hoc duties such as P&L reporting and monitoring global news events and data releases
4. Understand the “big picture”, the implications of actions on others, compliance issues etc
5. Preserving the confidentiality of pre-trade information both internally and externally
6. Monitoring local holidays in traded markets;
7. Close of business tasks and end of day procedures

In addition, there will be longer term project work as the role develops.

Skills, experience, and qualifications

1. Quick learner with solid problem solving and time management skills
2. Strong attention to detail
3. Working knowledge of Bloomberg
4. Understanding of Order Management and Execution Management Systems
5. Familiarity with the mechanics of FX and futures markets
6. STEM, Finance or Economics graduate from a top university
7. Previous directly relevant experience – at least 1 year of trading desk experience

Nice to have

1. Previous exposure to systematic strategies
2. Ideally a good proficiency in VBA & R
3. Currently or previously approved to perform the CDF function pursuant to the FCA’s conduct rules.
