Job Description
Red Bull Powertrains are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our team, driving the future of motorsport innovation. You will be based at our state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes which is designed to deliver high-performance Power Units for the 2026 engine regulations.
In this role, you will be a critical point of contact and will ensure the smooth operation of equipment and systems as well as manage key suppliers to maintain a high level of productivity in the manufacturing process.
The role:
As a Manufacturing Support Engineer, you will serve as the primary liaison for machine providers, handling breakdowns, servicing, scheduling, on-site spares, warranties, and service agreements, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient machine management. You will also conduct risk and COSHH assessments within the machine shop, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols. Additionally, you will manage coolants and fluids plus oversee the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and waste disposal to ensure regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the movement of machines, raising CAPEX requests for new equipment plus identifying and mitigating single points of failure through scenario planning. With a focus on material management, you’ll be responsible for booking raw materials, verifying and ensuring their availability for production, working closely with production teams to optimise material flow. What we need from you:
- Engineering background or relevant experience in a manufacturing or support engineering role
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with external suppliers and internal teams
- Knowledge of machine servicing and breakdown management
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in materials management and logistics
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for problem-solving
