An Underwriting Syndicate is seeking a Data Technician to provide technical and operational support to Syndicate Underwriting teams.
Your main responsibility would be to analyse and process key policy data to ensure accurate premium monitoring and reporting. Enhance policy data quality by identifying areas for improvement through MI analysis and collaborating with key stakeholders.
This is a great opportunity for a junior syndicate data technician, looking to further their career., + Support Operations and Underwriting teams in processing bureau market messaging data to ensure accurate monitoring of outstanding premiums and assist with credit control through data review and query resolution in the Policy Admin System.

Reconcile premium settlements with written premium records for Consortia and other facilities as needed and address Lloyd’s Insurance Company (LIC) bureau queries on behalf of underwriting teams.

Monitor and enhance data quality by working with Syndicate Underwriting Teams and stakeholders, addressing underwriting Data Validations, and implementing improvements.

Provide regular MI reporting to stakeholders, supporting accurate outstanding premium monitoring and assisting Finance and Underwriting teams with monthly close tasks.

Assist in producing regulatory returns, such as Lloyd’s PMD, and maintain operational procedures relevant to Syndicate operations.

Contribute to the Syndicate operating model and support other operational needs as required.

Experience in the Lloyd’s market with knowledge of bureau messaging and Syndicate underwriting models.

Progressing towards a professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII) with developing expertise in key in-house underwriting systems.

Proficient in Policy Administration Systems, with strong analytical, mathematical, and organisational skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly.

Strong proficiency in Excel and Office 365 tools.
