Job Purpose/summary:
We are supersizing our video and audio output, producing high end multimedia content evolving from four decades as the voice of horse racing. You will lead the specialist team creating market-leading content to be distributed across our suite of editorial and commercial offerings. The Senior Producer will be expected to lead the production of high profile programming and assist in launching newly developed formats.
Key accountabilities/responsibilities:
- Produce a weekly slate of distinctive magazine programming and distribute across Racing Post channels.
- Manage a team of Producers, their weekly output and ongoing development.
- Feed into decisions about programming output and new formats.
- Plug into editorial discussions and ensure video and audio align with the wider stories the Racing Post aims to tell.
- Handle the booking of talent, and actively seek new voices to tell our stories.
- Work closely with commercial on opportunities to monetise content.
- Quickly turn around video content from start to finish to produce a clean end product that meets our and our partners’ objectives.
- Work with the marketing team to get the most from the content we produce and stay ahead of the field.
- Manage the annual Video Production Budget covering talent, tooling and other production costs each month.
Requirements:
- Management of a team and strong leadership skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to create clear and coherent plans for activity.
- Must be a great communicator across the board – with reports, internal talent, your line manager, and the wider business.
- Experience of handling production schedules.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with studio based shoots and vision mixing live.
- Experience in producing professional video using DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
- Good working knowledge of video SEO best practices.
- Must be available to work weekends/overtime during our key events.
- A passion for horse racing is a plus, but a creative approach to telling stories is a must.
