Working arrangements: 35 hours per week between 8am and 6pm. Hybrid working – you will work in the office a minimum of 6 days per month and attend events when required.
We are looking for an experienced events manager to deliver an ambitious evens portfolio. You will play a key role in supporting team members, implementing policies & procedures as well as being hands on in the successful delivery of events and projects.
This is a fast-paced delivery area where you will work across a range of projects from high profile governance events, membership and fellowship ceremonies, core college conferences, principal partner events and internal communications.
As the Events Manager, you will be responsible for.

Overall management of events the RCP event portfolio including large scale conferences

Being on of the key points of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Oversee the planning process for college, governance and membership events

Scheduling & resource management
-
Management of event budgets
-
Oversee project teams on-site

Mentoring & managing junior staff day to day
-
Educated to degree level or an equivalent relevant business-related qualification.

Proven experience of driving income through sales and sponsorship

Working at a senior management level

Marketing and publicity strategies for events.

Successful financial management of an extensive events programme.

Negotiating with suppliers.

Networking within a professional, preferably medical, environment.
