Kickstart your finance career with a Trainee Accounts Assistant role in a growing Property Investment company. This entry-level position (college leaver or University graduate) offers hands-on experience and full support for an AAT qualification. Office based in NW London, closest tube Finchley Road. Fully office based Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm.

Whilst reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will form part of the wider operational team working closely with the Chief of Staff, Marketing Manager and Legal Assistant with exposure to all other aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities Of The Trainee Accounts Assistant

  • Process supplier invoices and input financial transactions in Xero.
  • Assist with sales invoicing and property transaction records.
  • Support bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Help manage accounts payable, receivable, and credit control.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and HMRC filings (CIS & VAT).
  • Provide general admin support and liaise with stakeholders.

Essential

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong numerical skills (A-Levels or equivalent).
  • Self-motivated with basic IT skills (Excel preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Desirable

  • 6-12 months office-based finance related experience.
  • Familiarity with Xero.
