The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a passion for Geography and ensuring excellent progress and achievement. Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school, committed to academic excellence and encouraging both students and staff to achieve their full potential. The role will require the following responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary. Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and participate in departmental planning and activities. Engage with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Participate in school events, parent evenings, and extracurricular activities as required. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Geography curriculum and best teaching practices. The ideal candidate will have/be: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (unqualified teachers also accepted). A degree in Geography or a related field. Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement. A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential. A commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of children. Has a clear and valid DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
