Scope
Accountable for the profitable management and daily operations of the Manufacturing Plant, including responsibility for health and safety, overall quality, and compliance to ensure the site meets EFP customer specifications and expectations. Responsible for achieving key operational business objectives at the Manufacturing Plant, supporting and driving the Hoshin strategy and corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

  • Make safety the top priority, striving for zero LTAs and accidents.
  • Lead by example and ensure that all employees/visitors/contractors fully understand and adhere to all aspects of the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE standards and that issues raised are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Encourage a strong health & safety culture with compliance to policy, procedure, and PPE.

Safety Equipment & Facilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of a motivated, continuous improvement culture throughout all plant teams.
  • Ensure that plant capacity is maintained by overseeing the company’s production equipment and ensuring maintenance schedules are kept.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained in line with the QMS.

Operations

  • Providing information to set operational budgets and meet set targets.
  • Seeking the necessary resources to achieve production and quality targets.
  • Management, organization, and staffing of site operations.
  • Assess competency and training needs of employees and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Jointly responsible with the Quality Manager for internal communication of QMS performance.
  • Accountable for the achievement of formal Hoshin objectives set annually.
  • Lead and support on all Employee Relations, creating an environment for employee growth.
  • Ensure effective team communication and collaboration through meetings.
  • Complete all KPI records and reports, producing monthly reports on progress and concerns.
  • Action improvements from employee surveys and customer complaints, driving continuous improvement.

Housekeeping

  • Ensure the plant controls the working environment and performs 5S inspections.

Qualifications

  • Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • NEBOSH qualification (preferred).
  • Leadership qualification or relevant experience (essential).

  • 37.5 hours per week
