Job Description:

VIQU have partnered with a leading entity in operational technology and digital transformation. Operating in highly regulated and demanding industrial sectors, they have successfully executed pivotal projects across energy, nuclear, renewables, water, and manufacturing domains.

They are seeking a Senior Nuclear Project Manager to join their Nuclear Division. The role involves managing a portfolio of high-value projects, including integrations with existing C&I systems, as well as standalone and greenfield solutions. These projects, many leveraging PLC/SCADA technology, cover the full lifecycle from design and implementation to installation, commissioning, and support. Some also include site installation and cabling. The successful Senior Nuclear Project Manager will ensure effective delivery to key clients within the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Nuclear Project Manager:

  • Lead multiple high-value contracts, from initiation to completion, within strict deadlines.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, to specification, and to client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with production and hardware engineering teams.
  • Manage overall financial performance, including specialist subcontracts and procurement.
  • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of up to 30 project managers and engineers.
  • Oversee all Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety aspects, working with the QH&S Manager and H&S Advisor.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to report progress and address project needs.
  • Support future business growth by maintaining strong client relationships through successful delivery.

Essential Requirements of the Project Manager:

  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience managing full E,C&I projects in the nuclear industry or another highly regulated sector.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Experience working with NEC3/4 contracts.
  • Commercially astute with proven negotiation skills.
  • Background in managing subcontractors and overseeing specialist suppliers.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating teams.
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stays at client sites.
  • Must be able to obtain nuclear SC clearance – British born citizen holding no dual nationality.
