Outsource UK is recruiting a Business Support Administrator to work for a leading logistics company in Knutsford on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and driven individual to work for a business that aims to develop and progress its people.
While the role is varied, the main purpose is to provide support-based assistance to the trading team.
This includes:
- Maintain and develop business relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Ensure relevant documentation is provided for shipments.
- Obtain booking slots with cold stores and ensure product is released accordingly.
- Work closely with the trading team and assist in providing a working knowledge of logistical movements and customs procedures.
- Contact haulage companies and negotiate competitive rates for both full truck and groupage movements, sending booking confirmations once agreed.
Full training is provided, but ideally, you will have previous office-based experience, which could be administrative or more customer service or sales focused.
