What is emergency cover?

As best as they can, schools will always try to pre-book in any supply cover they need, sometimes days or weeks ahead. But unforeseen changes in their staffing levels can happen quickly, and on the day cover is needed.

Schools will ring us any time from 7am-8:30am letting us know their requirements for that day. That is when we would call you, our emergency cover supply teacher / cover supervisor and offer you the work we have for that day.

  • Managing classroom behaviour.
  • Ensuring that the pre-set work is completed by students.
  • Returning the completed work to the appropriate teacher or staff member.
