Multi Skilled Commercial Engineer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Multi Skilled Commercial Engineer , on a 3-month contract , highly likely to be extended at the client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £21.91 – £27.86 per hour

Summary:

Multi skilled commercial electrical bias engineer. To undertake planned and reactive maintenance electrical systems including pumps, calorifiers, cold water service outlets etc. Working predominately in schools but also other educational centers, providing a high level of customer service. Undertaking installation of plant relating to area of work. Using IT systems including BMS’s to resolve and diagnose issues.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MEP repairs, maintenance, and installations within commercial properties, focusing on schools and community sites.
• Diagnose faults and compliance issues to determine the most effective repair solutions.
• Ensure buildings remain functional with minimal service disruption.
• Ensure all work adheres to industry standards (SFG20, CIBSE), statutory regulations, British Standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain building statutory compliance obligations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Recognized qualification in at least one MEP discipline (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
• Competence and experience in two or more MEP disciplines within a commercial setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills in diagnosing building faults and identifying cost-effective solutions.
• Practical experience with MEP maintenance, repairs, and installations in commercial buildings (preferably schools).
