About the Role – We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Validation/Calibration Engineer to join our Metrology and Systems team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the calibration and validation of various biomedical and healthcare equipment. If you have experience in this field, a strong ability to communicate effectively, and excellent organizational skills, we would love to hear from you. The candidate can be located in Greater London, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire or South East surrounding areas.

Responsibilities –

  • Performing calibration and validation of biomedical and healthcare equipment, including:
  • Ovens, Fridges/Freezers, Incubators (Temperature/CO2 and RH), Centrifuges, Freeze Dryers, Temperature/Humidity Stability Cabinets, Thermometry, Balances, and Monitoring Systems (temperature/humidity/pressure/airflow).
  • Completing required paperwork in compliance with GDP/GLP/GMP guidelines.
  • Conducting temperature mapping for equipment, warehouses, and cleanrooms.
  • Ensuring all calibration and validation activities are carried out to the highest standard.
  • Documenting work in accordance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Travel throughout the UK when required for onsite calibrations.
  • Collaborating closely with the team to maintain effective communication and deliver results on time.
  • Training on specific equipment will be provided to the successful candidate.

Experience & Skills –

  • Experience : At least 1 year of hands-on experience with the validation/calibration of biomedical and healthcare equipment.
  • Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Organizational Skills : Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Technical Skills : Familiarity with Microsoft Office, and experience working with relevant calibration/validation equipment is desirable.
  • Travel : Willingness to travel across the UK as needed.
  • UK Driving License : A full, clean UK driving license is required.

Qualifications –

  • A minimum of a one-year certificate from a college or technical school or three to six months of related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
  • Experience with UKAS/17025 standards is a plus but not essential.
