Bloomberg Radio is looking for a hardworking Freelance Producer to support the delivery of our early morning programming in London. You must have demonstrated skills in news production including writing, editing and mixing digital audio, and handling the pressure of breaking news. You have extensive experience in audio storytelling, strong editorial judgement and a commitment to detail. You must be able to embrace challenges, make split-second decisions and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person will demonstrate a creative approach to tasks, have an enthusiastic work ethic and strong multitasking skills.
We’ll trust you to:
- Write and edit broadcast scripts
- Communicate and coordinate with reporters across our global newsrooms
- Record, cut and mix audio for broadcasts
- Direct show anchors and audio engineers from the control room
- Identify and book influential guests
- Help the team to process and deliver a range of podcast content including Bloomberg Daybreak Europe and Bloomberg News Now
- Produce content that can be used across Bloomberg’s media platforms
- Take direction from others and execute tasks with minimal supervision
You’ll need to have:
- 3+ years of broadcast, podcast and/or live news production experience
- Experience outputting shows in a live control room setting
- Strong editorial and production skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Audition audio editing software
- Good networking and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with newsroom software systems and agility with Windows
- An ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Flexibility to adjust working schedule as business needs require
