Salary – London weighting competitive depending on experience and qualifications
Hours – Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, 9.30am – 5.30pm
Holiday – 20 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing with service period
About the Management Accountant role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant in one of our London offices in Blackfrairs to join the outsourcing department.
You will work on a number of clients in different sectors, maintaining and developing the strong relationships which are key to the firm’s growth.
You have a firm grasp of double entry bookkeeping and experience of maintaining bookkeeping records on a digital platform, predominately Xero and Quickbooks and the associated cloud accounting applications.
Key responsibilities of a Management Accountant will include:
- Recording bank payments, receipts and bank reconciliations
- Recording sales and purchase ledger
- Control account reconciliations
- Dealing with transactions in foreign currencies
- Preparation of VAT Returns
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for Partner/Client review
- Accounting for monthly adjustments (prepayments, accrued & deferred income and accruals) as part of preparing management accounts
- Dealing with client queries relating to bookkeeping and VAT, understanding the client’s needs and providing clear and concise explanations
About you
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified or Qualified by experience
- Sound knowledge of VAT legislation and VAT treatment, including appreciation of Making Tax Digital
- Management accounts experience ideally within a demanding accountancy practice environment
- Broad understanding of PAYE, National Insurance and pensions
- Ideally Xero certified with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Confident with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Willing and able to work under pressure and cope flexibly with demanding deadlines
- Analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to think laterally
- Show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of issues from start to finish
