Responsibilities:

  1. Ongoing and periodic reviews and assessments of MUFG’s Risk Management Framework
  2. Periodic reviews of the Risk Appetite Statements, development of Risk Appetite Measures as well as monitoring and reporting thereof
  3. Risk Assessments of New Products and Services as well as Business As Usual services, departments or processes
  4. Monitor and assess pipeline of business cases and other change initiatives and work closely with Project Management
  5. Participate and, as needed, lead cross functional reviews and assessments, including Scenario Analyses, Risk Events and Root Cause Analyses, Risk Issue remediation
  6. Production of various periodic and ad-hoc Risk Reporting including statistical/trend analysis, remediation tracking and KRI/KPI management
  7. Maintenance of risk systems
  8. Conduct deep dive risk assessments or other projects as required
  9. Study new and emerging international regulations relating to risk management
  10. Work with the Director, ECRM and the Head of Risk to continuously assess and improve the program

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 7+ years’ experience in risk management in a financial institution or compatible experience
  2. Experience with and advanced understanding of risk frameworks and methodologies, incl. Risk Assessments of new products/services, insurance-related risk, fraud mitigation and monitoring practices
  3. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for risk management
  4. Experience in roles requiring product and process management & implementation
  5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  6. Experience in data visualization tools and risk systems preferred
  7. Fund Administration experience preferred
  8. Influencing and leadership skills
  9. Professional qualification in risk or a related discipline would be preferred
