Fund Controller – Multi-Billion $$ Investment Fund – Up to £110,000 & generous bonus
This role is with a well-funded and growing alternative fund in London, hiring a Fund Controller (covering open and closed-ended funds).
This position will be the most senior in the fund accounting team and report directly to the COO. The business has built a highly diversified multi-manager platform, and the role will cover various fund structures and jurisdictions across private and public markets. At its core, it will involve the management of SPVs, investor capital processes, and audits (they outsource a large portion of accounts preparation). There will be numerous analysis requests, so it is vital to be highly analytical and able to dissect reporting to understand fund attribution and structure.
A key component of this role is the development of systems and controls. Over the last four years, the company has grown significantly and is gearing up for future growth. They seek someone who can help develop a robust controls framework and a highly automated and scalable function.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional (ACA/CIMA/CPA, etc.) with 3+ years of experience in a fund-focused role. Exposure to a variety of fund structures is important (ideally both hedge funds and private markets funds, even if just through audit). Previous experience leading process improvement projects is highly desirable.
They are prepared to offer up to £110k for the right candidate, with the potential for up to 50% bonuses in the first year. The company has modern open-plan offices in central London and operates a hybrid working model.
