Your new role
To provide support to the Executive Team, including diary and inbox management and support with preparing papers for the Board. In addition to providing day-to-day administrative support, the role holder will play a vital role in helping the Executive Team to develop, plan, and deliver their strategy in line with the business plan.
The Executive Support Officer will need to provide a flexible and varied resource responding to the needs of the business, including problem-solving and taking on projects across housing and development aspects of the business as they arise. To provide support to the Executive Team on property-related matters, including the inspection of properties with contractors, identifying technical solutions to issues, including issues that arise.
- Provide support to the Executive Team, including diary and inbox management and reschedule/delegate essential items during executive absence. Assist in the preparation and distribution of Board reports and minute meetings. Provide office support as required.
- Provide support to the Board and elements of the Company Secretary’s administrative duties from time to time.
- Offer guidance and support to the Executive Team and Board.
- Prepare and distribute reports for the Board.
- Develop and maintain IT systems, including support for remote Board members.
- Manage website development and ongoing updates.
- Provide administrative assistance.
- Attend meetings and take minutes.
- Contribute to overall strategy and service development.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Knowledge and experience of using Office 365 and SharePoint packages as well as other standard software, social media, and communication tools.
- Knowledge of working within a housing environment to provide support at an executive level.
- Experience of writing reports, letters, and documents, preparing presentations, and presenting data.
- Ability to analyse and investigate matters, acting where required to monitor performance and instruct contractors.
- Ability to identify issues, problem-solve, and bring about service improvements.
