Job Summary:
The role of the Product Governance Manager represents an exciting opportunity to join our growing Proposition Management team. Reporting to the Head of Proposition Management, you will be responsible for understanding the governance requirements for our global product portfolio and will co-ordinate activities to ensure those requirements are being met. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that required protocols are adopted by wider areas of the business and fulfilling any internal and external reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Governance Requirements: Ensure company products comply with expected Allianz oversight and governance requirements.
- Product lifecycle procedures: Develop and implement product governance policies and procedures to guide product lifecycle management.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular product governance risk assessments and localized audits of product lines to identify potential areas of vulnerability and implement corrective actions.
- Product Governance Returns: Oversee and co-ordinate responses to internal and external requests for reports on key controls and evidence-based testing in accordance with deadlines.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of product governance activities, including reports, audits, and regulatory submissions.
- Training & Education: Develop and deliver product governance training programs to educate colleagues on relevant product governance requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the compliance, legal, and risk teams to ensure strong collaboration and engagement across these key functions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to continuously improve the company’s product governance strategies.
Key Requirements and Competencies:
- Hold a third level business degree or appropriate professional qualification.
- At least 5 years’ experience within a Financial Services organization and 3 of those years in a governance related role, preferably with experience in working within the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements.
- Experience of the Health or General insurance sectors would be of particular advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments and communicate to a senior audience.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team environment.
