I am working with a leading planning consultancy in York that is seeking an experienced and ambitious Associate Director to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of planning and design projects, ensuring successful delivery from start to finish.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on planning matters, offering innovative and tailored solutions.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications and related documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent service and satisfaction.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Identify business development opportunities, prepare proposals, and contribute to the company\’s growth.
- Represent the consultancy at meetings, presentations, and public consultations.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
About You:
- Degree in Town Planning, with Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in planning and design consultancy.
- A strong understanding of the UK planning system and relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to provide innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in relevant software is desirable but not essential.
