Brief Description

Who are we looking for?

Are you a motivated, self-starter who is keen to collaborate and help with our business improvement objectives? We are now looking for people with experience and ambition in a combination of the following: Change Management, Portfolio/Project/Programme Management, Business Improvement, Coaching Business Assurance, Workshop Facilitation and Business Benefit Realisation.

About the role (External)

About the team.

Our team provides improved confidence and understanding of all local and national change projects affecting the Kent and Sussex Route Access Planning Team. Delivering through pro-active business support, consistent business insights and improved capabilities in governance, assurance, risk, improvement and change management. Advocating for and improving the core process for the way we manage our business including the ‘Managing Change and Improvement’ framework (process and policy). Facilitating and shaping solutions, developing strong business cases for change and improvement, and coaching our leaders in the delivery of benefits that enable better business and industry outcomes.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant experience in the successful management of major and complex change projects.
  • Experience of applying project methodologies.
  • Experience of Route Access Planning, Possession Delivery and/or Maintenance Planning process and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Secondary Protections methods.
  • Experience in weekly and periodic business and KPI reports.
  • Experience in SharePoint development and workflow management.
  • Experience in developing assurance processes complying with relevant standards.

Desirable Criteria

  • Member of project/change/quality association.
  • Commercial and financial awareness.
  • Knowledge of the principles of project and change processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient at office 365 including MS Project.
  • Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry.
