Due to continued expansion plans, our client has several exciting opportunities to join their successful and growing international company within their procurement account management team.
Specialising in global procurement, international trading and supply chain management, our client has a diverse portfolio of international customers, creating an exciting working environment where each day brings new challenges.
In this role you will support customers in sourcing and supply of specialist equipment all over the world. Customers are predominately based in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and South America and involved in many different sectors such as Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Agriculture, Engineering.
Previous Procurement or Buying experience would be ideal, however, we will also consider transferable skills, in particular candidates from sales or recruitment backgrounds looking to transition into a different career path with the hunger and motivation to progress with a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offering competitive quotes to clients for the equipment they have requested
- Reacting to client enquiries quickly and efficiently
- Involved in sourcing and buying a wide range of products and equipment from local and international suppliers
- Negotiating with suppliers on the phone and email to obtain best prices wherever possible
- Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relationships
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing Key International Clients
- Responsible for increasing sales and revenue of existing Client Accounts
Skills Required:
- Strong negotiation, customer service and sales ability
- Confident and clear communication skills (English is essential)
- Proven ability to achieve targets and KPI’s
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Positive attitude and be able work well within a team or individually
- Ability to work under pressure and think your feet
- Strong business acumen – understanding what makes profit and loss on a deal
- Working experience using Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook (essential)
