Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire. Full-time office-based role – Monday to Friday 9-5.
Job Purpose:
The Protection Advisor is responsible for providing expert advice and recommending suitable insurance and protection products to clients, ensuring they are financially protected against unforeseen events. This role requires a deep understanding of financial products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough assessments of clients\’ financial situations to understand their protection needs.
* Provide expert advice on protection products such as life insurance, income protection, critical illness cover, and family protection.
* Meet and exceed sales targets for protection products by proactively identifying new business opportunities.
* Engage with both new and existing clients to offer appropriate protection solutions.
* Stay updated with the latest insurance products and industry regulations.
* Ensure clients understand the terms and conditions of the products offered.
* Explain the benefits and limitations of various protection plans in clear, accessible terms.
Documentation and Compliance:

* Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
* Maintain detailed records of client meetings, recommendations, and transactions.
* Adhere to financial regulations, such as those set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Team Collaboration:

* Work with colleagues in the sales and support teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.
* Share insights and best practices to help the team improve performance and achieve business goals.
Skills and Qualifications:

* Experience in giving protection advise.
* Strong understanding of protection products and the financial services industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
* Goal-oriented with a strong drive for achieving sales targets and business growth.
* High level of attention to detail, especially when completing documentation and ensuring compliance.
* Knowledge of FCA regulations and industry standards
