DevOps Engineer

• Document and develop automation code for operating infrastructure in a reliable and repeatable fashion.

• Examine existing software and determine requirements for new/modified systems in the light of business needs.

• Implement security gateways for company internal documents, toolings, and artefacts.

• Test and correct software programs.

• Implement and evaluate the software.

• Build metrics monitoring, Logstash, and dashboard.

• Plans and maintains database structures.

• Deploy product/tooling updates and implement integrations.

• Advanced experience as a Python Developer/Programmer/Software Engineer (required).

• Ability to express an opinion on sound RESTful API design (required).

• Experience with Python service to service API experience (required).

• Experience with Django framework (required).

• Experience building and working with APIs (required).

• Experience with parsing complex nested XML/JSON converting data types, storing in objects and writing output as YAML/JSON (required).

• Experience with using Jinja2 templates (required).

• Experience with YANG data models (required).

• Ability to follow DevOps best practices (required).

• Experience in Linux environments, and have a passion for driving DevOps best practices whilst introducing new technologies (required).

• Experience with Docker and Microservice and keen to work with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform (desirable).

• Experience with CI/CD with Jenkins and Git (desirable).

• Experience with using Configuration Management with Ansible (desirable).

• Experience using Jinja2 templates with AnsibleScripting with Shell (desirable).

• Ability to provide integration with monitoring solutions (ideally with Splunk) (desirable).

• Basic understanding of SQL/ Redis / MongoDB (desirable).

• Experience with using Javascript, Go and Azure/AWS/GCP (desirable)., * Bachelor’s (required)

Pay: £35,688.00-£45,000.00 per year
